Reupholstered Flower Kitchen Chairs

I wanted to post these reupholstered chair covers that I did over the weekend. I think it's an easy project for anybody with kids. If you are like me, then you probably clean the same messes over and over all day. I just couldn't take how dirty my chairs were. I clean them all the time, but they are back dirty by the end of the week. I decided it was time for an upgrade instead of buying new chairs and using money that I don't need to spend at this time. If you have something in your house that you don't know what to do with, then try painting or fabric.... It makes anything look fab!!

I cut and measured the amount of fabric to wrap around the chair  pad

Once I measured the fabric, I wrapped it around the chair with  a staple gun.

 How was your Valentine's Day? Mines went pretty well. It consisted of me getting up like every other day and hanging with my family. Of course Hubby brought me a dozen of Tulips and a body pillow to help my back while I am pregnant, but I get flowers weekly regardless of the day. Hubby came home today and I told him that I didn't expect much from him, because he always showers me with so much love. I felt so bad looking at Facebook and Instagram as people were so sad and heartbroken and feeling so unloved. When did one day determine whether one is loved or not? Everyday we are here on this Earth shows how much we are loved by our Father in Heaven who loves and adores us so much!! Its ironic how Valentine's Day is supposed to be a lovers day, but most people are so sad. Don't let the hype of today bring you down. Its just one day, there are so many more ahead.

Follow-up to thrift store vases

I'm back with the photos you've been waiting on!  This is an easy weekend project.  I made a stop pass +Walmart  picked up some spray paint, stickers and duct tape.

I wanted to have a bit of fun with these. I got a little too carried away and got spray paint all over the front porch. Can anyone help me with the clean up? LOL  I left these outside to dry for a few hours. Removed the tape and stickers and Tadaaaaaaaa!

Look at how amazing they look. A lil bit of spray paint and tape transformed these drab vases into contemporary modern pieces. I hope this project inspires you to add a custom piece to your home decor. Peace and Blessings~Tricia

Thrift store vases

I made a trip to my local thrift store this  past week and found some really nice vases. I purchased them for less than $1 each.  I love revamping old items. Simple changes like painting, stenciling or embellishing can breath life into old things. There's nothing better than customizing something and making it fit your personal style.  I think I want to go with a clean classic look for all of them.  Pictures of the finished work will follow soon. Wedding on a budget inspired by Nars eye palette!

 I Love Love Love makeup!! I do makeup on the side but have never pursued it as a career as I know I should. This Nars Palette (Rated R) is one of my all time favorites. It has bright and vibrant colors that don't go out of season. Thats why it wasn't hard to use this palette as inspiration. My friend came to me and said "Please do my wedding reception, do whatever colors you'd like, but I have less than $100  for decorations". That is like the best thing a decorator could hear, and also the worst.  That means I dont have to hold back and I can do whatever I want, but umm thats not enough money.. Thanks right??? Not knowing what colors to use, I called Tricia and asked for help and she said to me "Use one of your makeup palettes that you love so much". Isn't it wonderful to have great friends in your circle?? Tricia and I came together and used these colors along with other colors to make great table decorations for our friend. Thank God it was around Christmas time so these colors were everywhere this past season.  Everyone loved how vibrant the colors were and how we implemented many different elements into the decor. This wedding invoked life in me. This wedding is what sparked Tricia and I to begin our blogging journey and start our own business. Its never to late to start something new or try something new. As you can see we did a colorful vibrant wedding reception inspired by a Nars palette.. with less than $100.
